Professional Development is a critical aspect of growth for our faculty and staff. The Heritage School uses an individualized approach to growing our employees to best fit their short and long-term goals.

Professional Development Program initiatives include, but are not limited to:

• Curriculum development and identification of best practices in all grade levels and disciplines. The Heritage School supports faculty during the school year and in the summer to work on designing and building new lessons, project-based learning units, and innovative assessment strategies.
• Mentoring and training for faculty new to the profession.
• Opportunities to attend workshops, conferences, and seminars to promote professional development and to provide opportunities for faculty to interact with thought-leaders.
• Collaboration between faculty from public and independent schools designed to exchange information about best practices in teaching.
