Robotics
The Robotics Program at The Heritage School offers an engaging and hands-on experience for students to delve into the captivating world of robotics. Through interactive workshops and team-based projects, students learn the fundamentals of robotics, programming, and problem-solving, fostering their creativity and critical thinking abilities.
Robotics classes are offered to students in every division.
Competitive Robotics
The Heritage School hosts both a Middle School and Upper School Robotics Team. Throughout the year, students participate in various challenges and competitions, with the main focus being on the FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) competition. In FLL, students build and program robots to complete missions on a specialized field, showcasing their technical skills. However, it's not just about robots; students also engage in an innovation project, where they think like engineers and innovators to find solutions for real-world problems related to the annual theme.
Presenting their ideas before a panel of judges, students display their research, creativity, and teamwork abilities. Moreover, the program strongly emphasizes the FIRST® LEGO® League Core Values, promoting values such as innovation, teamwork, inclusion, respect, and having a great time. Join us on this incredible journey of learning, growth, and camaraderie as we explore the limitless possibilities of robotics and STEM education
The 2022 - 2023 Heritage Middle School Robotics Team, The Hydro Hawks, brought home the school's first major robotics trophy wining a first place at the First Lego League competition at both regionals and super regionals, qualifitying them for a showing at the State Champsionship.
