In May 2014, 68 of our students took 132 AP Exams in 14 subjects. Seventy-five percent of the Class of 2015 will take at least one AP course, with the average number of AP courses taken over a three year period being 2.7 and the most being 9.
Heritage offers 17 Advanced Placement courses. Successful completion of these advanced courses can earn a student college credit at many colleges and universities. Students are recommended for these courses each year based on success in prerequisites courses, PSAT scores, and classroom work ethic. All AP courses are weighted with an additional 10% at year end to legitimize comparisons with non-AP courses. Though some courses are not offered every year, our current AP classes include the following.
AP Art (Photography)
AP Art (2-D Design)
AP Calculus AB
AP Calculus BC
AP English Literature & Composition
AP English Language & Composition
AP European History
AP Environmental Science
AP Music Theory
