In Middle School, we believe a student learns as much about their world and themselves outside our classrooms as they do within them. Therefore, we offer multiple extracurricular opportunities for students. The Heritage School fields two football teams for the Middle School. The Lower School football team is comprised of 4th through 6th grade students while the Middle School football team is for 7th and 8th grade students. We offer Middle School sports that begin in sixth grade including volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, cross country, cheerleading, track and field, baseball, and swimming. The Heritage School offers basketball and soccer intramural programs for Middle School students.
Middle School students have the opportunity to join various clubs throughout the school year. Clubs may meet before school, after school, or during the school day. Clubs open to Middle School students that meet before and after school include HYPE (Heritage Youth Performance Ensemble), the Math Counts Team, Builders’ Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletes’ Leadership Seminar, the Student Government Association, and Pep Club. Middle School students have a choice of 16 different clubs to attend during Friday Activity Time. These include Computer Programming Club, Middle School Newspaper Club, Spanish Club, Science Lovers’ Club, Outdoor Survival Club, Field Game Club, and Creators’ Club.
