At The Heritage School, we believe in the power of learning beyond the classroom, and our students actively participate in local community events that embody this philosophy. Through volunteering, skill-building, and contributing to our local community, our students engage in transformative experiences. Whether they're volunteering at charitable initiatives, honing their talents by selling art at local markets, or taking part in community projects, our students learn the value of empathy, leadership, and social responsibility.
Our volunteer initiatives culminate with our annual Drop Everything and Serve day! Following a half-day of classes, our students divided into groups and spread throughout the community to engage in various service projects.
Partnering with local nonprofits including Tools of Empowerment, City of Hope, One Roof, Georgia Baptist Senior Citizen Center, Wesley Woods, RiverLife, Samaritan's Clinic, Christian City, Keep Newnan Beautiful, and Bridging the Gap, our students dedicated their time to impactful endeavors. From yard work to assembling flu kits, crafting Valentine's Day gift bags, repairing tools, and organizing food donations, our students embraced every task with enthusiasm and dedication.
These real-world opportunities extend their learning, fostering personal growth and a deep connection with the world around them. We take pride in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are actively engaged in their communities, embodying the spirit of lifelong learning and civic engagement.
