Heritage School’s boys will host Deerfield-Windsor on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., to open the GISA Class AAA Tournament.
The Hawks (18-9) upended two-time defending champion Holy Spirit 80-79 in Friday’s 1-AAA championship game on Kasen Jennings’ buzzer-beating three-pointer in overtime.
Heritage hosted Deerfield (12-9) on Jan. 26, defeating the Knights 55-36.
The winner advances to face either Loganville Christian or Trinity-Dublin on Saturday at Stratford Academy.
The Lady Hawks (18-5) also face Deerfield-Windsor (10-6) in their first-round game, which will be played at Region 4 champion John Milledge. Heritage’s girls finished second in 1-AAA to defending state champion Holy Spirit (16-0).
With a win, the Lady Hawks play either John Milledge or Region 2 No. 4 seed Frederica on Friday at Stratford Academy in the Class AAA quarterfinals.
